Trans cultural Missions Mobilization:
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. God is raising up a new generation of mission workers from Latin America, Southern Africa and various parts of Asia. We encourage and equip these passionate laborers to go where they can be most effective for spreading of the Gospel. Until 1980 most mission workers came from the Western World. But as the church exploded in Latin America, Southern Africa and parts of Asia, countries that once received missionaries are catching the vision to send them.

Missionary Pastoral Care:
It is a challenge to send missionaries to foreign lands, but it is an essential fact that these workers need pastoral care. These brave men and women face long periods of time away from a spiritual support structure while experiencing the challenges of missionary work in a hostile environment. Due to the economic realities of many of the sending countries of Latin America, these missionaries rarely receive communications or visits from their home countries.
We invest much time and prayer in providing spiritual support for our overseas missionaries. This is done through regular communication with the missionaries, rapid response to urgent needs, and periodic field visits.
Mercy Ministries:
Matthew 25:35-36 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me. James 2:17…faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
Across the world, people are battling the effects of poverty and disease. Entire communities are left bereaved and desperate following natural disasters. War and social ills create a climate of fear and hopelessness. Living faith inspires action, bringing hope and change to this world of poverty, pain and injustice. We believe God’s love transforms the whole of life – spiritual, emotional, physical and social. Our relief and development workers demonstrate this love by addressing people’s immediate needs, building for a better future and offering eternal hope in Jesus.
In Cuba, Colombia, and Peru, we provide financial support for national pastors struggling in an atmosphere of suffocating poverty. In Peru we have been privileged to help build schools, health clinics, water projects, electrical projects, and children's feeding programs. For several years in Colombia, we have worked with a drug and alcohol ministry which has rescued thousands from a life of debilitating addictions.

Evangelism:
Romans 10:14 How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
We take advantage of every opportunity God gives us to let Jesus Christ and what He has done to be known. This may be during our short term trips overseas or in our local community in South Florida. We invest ourselves and our resources in the lives of our national workers so that they may continue to reach their own societies when we are not around. In Cuba, we help oversee a sports evangelism ministry which has nation-wide reach with several thousand people coming to Christ in the past 8 years.
In some of the "closed" societies our missionaries work in, evangelism is accomplished through building strong, trusting relationships with non-believers, resulting in open doors to share our faith in friendship. We practice the axiom: "We should preach always, and sometimes use words".
Discipleship:
Matthew 28:19: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:11-13: It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. God has given His Church the urgent task of reaching all nations. We desire to mobilize God’s people to fulfill this calling. As the early Church was formed, Christ’s commission to “Go and make disciples of all nations…” was resonating in the hearts of believers. This call is still clear and the task equally great for the Church today.
Discipleship is accomplished by building strong relationships with national leaders. Although we provide formal discipleship training at times, the most valuable discipleship takes place as we labor together with these leaders in accomplishing God's work and expanding His kingdom in their countries. Through these relationships, we provide leadership counseling and supervision, helping these leaders make righteous decisions as they lead their people.
Church Planting:
Romans 15:20 It has always been my ambition to preach the gospel where Christ was not known, so that I would not be building on someone else’s foundation. In LIM we see the Church as God’s chosen instrument here on earth, designed and commissioned to bring transformation to a fallen and hurting creation. Around the world, LIM seeks to encourage God’s people to fulfill this commission by sharing what He is doing and inviting them to get involved. Our desire is to work in partnership with the Church, equipping and empowering believers to live out Christ’s calling in their own community and nation, and to the ends of the earth. Working together we will have a greater impact. LIM's ministry around the world is characterized by the desire to go where few are willing to go and to identify those who have no opportunity to hear about Jesus. This means reaching out to those of other religions as well as people in remote, inaccessible parts of the world. Planting churches and distributing Bibles and Christian literature play a vital part; ensuring people can learn about Jesus in their own language and cultural setting.
Church Building:
As the Latin American Church continues to grow in astronomical measures, there is a constant need to provide facilities for ministry. In many contexts, the local believers have time and talents, but few resources. We partner with these congregations to help provide some of the funds necessary to build their ministry facilities. We have learned that if the local believers provide the majority of the participation in the construction of these facilities, they have ownership in what God has provided for them. We are able to come alongside them in these projects to help make them possible without creating an unhealthy dependency.
