Russell & Kerry Black:

Russell & Kerry have been married since 1991.  Six weeks after their wedding, they left behind home, family, and possessions to go to the mission field in Mexico.  After working for 2 years with Freedom Ministries, they moved back to the Texas/Mexican border where they helped plant a church in a poor neighborhood of Reynosa, Mexico while beginning to make trips into Cuba.  In 1994, the Lord called them to Homestead, FL where they continued to make trips into Cuba while establishing a mission base for ministry throughout Latin America.

Together with their 3 children, Aaron, 18, Katie, 16, & Adam, 14, they now minister in Cuba, Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, & Costa Rica.  They also travel to other Latin American countries as they help activate and mobilize the Church to send missionaries to the unreached world.

While continuing their overseas work, for the last 2 years, they have been working in the local community of Homestead, FL to minister to the youth.  Kerry meets regularly with local youth pastors to encourage them to work together in reaching the young people in this area.  Once a month, Kerry organizes a City Wide Youth Gathering with participation of many youth groups from different denominations.

Andrés Cuervo:

Since June of 2006, Andres has been working with Latin Impact Ministries.  Andres is an incredibly talented young man who can do just about anything.  He was formally trained in the national newspaper of Colombia as a photo journalist. He has extensive experience in TV and video production.  He is the son of Carlos Cuervo, a Colombian pastor, with whom LIM has a long standing relationship working with evangelism and drug and alcohol rehabilitation.

Andres is primarily responsible for website, newsletter & multi-media development.  He helps in the local youth outreaches with his extensive experience from years of working with youth in Colombia and the U.S.  He is an excellent translator, helping with short term trips into Latin America.  He is also a gifted trainer and teacher, ministering wherever God ope ns the door in Latin America.
